What:
Gov. Linda Lingle and Census Bureau Director Louis Kincannon willhold a news conference to highlight new American Community Surveydata showing Hawaii ranks among the top 10 states in housing values,household income and percentage of its population that is foreign-born. According to the survey, Hawaii home values are more thandouble the national median of $127,000 increasing nearly $20,000 in a12-month period. Other data will show where the state and Honolulurank nationally in the number of veterans and the number of peoplewho speak a language other than English at home.
