Israelis Stirred by Bosnians' Plight // Focus on Rescuing Jews, Sending Aid

JERUSALEM It was inevitable that the disclosure of detentioncamps in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Serbs' so-called "ethniccleansing" policy would remind Israelis of Nazi Germany's "finalsolution of the Jewish problem," the diabolical euphemism for thegenocide in which 6 million European Jews perished.

Horrified by reports of the atrocities being committed today,and mindful of the international community's failure to take directaction to save the Jewish inmates of the Nazis' death camps, Israelis seeking ways to prevent the people of Bosnia from being subjectedto a similar fate.
