(ADPnews) - Dec 17, 2009 - Eurocopter, subsidiary of Franco-German aerospace group EADS (EPA:EAD), announced on Thursday that its new civilian helicopter EC175 has successfully executed its first official flight.
The flight is a provision for the subsequent acquisition of necessary certifications. The seven-tonne chopper will be used primarily for accessing oil platforms and for rescue missions.
