WELL-KNOWN political commentator, gender equality activist and writer Rhoda Kadalie is to receive an honorary doctorate, along with two other recipients, at a graduation ceremony at Stellenbosch University tomorrow.
Kadalie is being honoured for her role as an academic, for her contribution as a gender equality activist, and for her work in the pursuit of the eradication of corruption.
Kadalie is the granddaughter of trade unionist Clements Kadalie, who was instrumental in the establishment of the Industrial and Commercial Workers' Union (ICU) in 1919.
